Out of the Blue

I wanted to put together a CD of some of my favourite songs and include some wonderful songs from New Zealand, some Aussie Classics, and some Top 40 tracks from the sixties. I start where I left off on "Take a Ride", with Johnny Cash and end up at Mustang Sally ... what a journey!

1	Get Rhythm	Johnny Cash’s first No1 on the Country Charts. “Well’ I couldn’t do a CD without a Johnny Cash Song!”
2	The Lights on The Hill	An Aussie ICON, given a Country Rock Feel.
3	Kiwi Balladeer	Written by GAZZA… A favourite at my Pub Gigs, it pokes a bit of fun at my new home, and my fellow Aussies.
4	Where Country Is…	Dedicated to Ron Peters (The Yodelling Cowboy). A great friend and a true country Gentleman. Get Well soon, mate!
5	Princess of Parnell	Written by GAZZA. A poignant song that reminds us we can never go back. Dedicated to my Nana … “I miss you Nana”
6	Leave him in the Longyard	Slim Dusty Classic … and Mums favourite! Horses, droving & growing old … it’s got it all.
7	Love in a Fowl house	Just plain crazy! NZ Classic. Written by Garner Wayne in 1963. I told Garner that I would do my best to keep his song going. I hope I have done that…in a good way.
8	Songs of Home	No, I am not homesick, but a lovely song about my homeland from Eddie Low.
9	Stock Droving Man	Written by GAZZA. Cleaned up and Re-released on this CD, with a few added features.
10	Till We Kissed	A Kiwi Classic, I first heard Ray Columbus sing this one and I’ve wanted to perform it ever since. *“…with a hint of Reggae”*
11	Rainy Night in Georgia	I got a chance to record my favourite song with my new band - shamalama
12	The Weight	1968 Classic from Robbie Robertson and “The Band”. “I grew up listening to this stuff!” Backing by shamalama
13	Mustang Sally	GAZZA unleashes his SOUL! A Big Man with a Big Voice. Always a Crowd Pleaser! Backing by shamalama

I wanted to put together a CD of some of my favourite songs and include some wonderful songs from New Zealand, some Aussie Classics, some iconic tracks from the USA as well as three of my original songs, a sort of audio CV.

Working with my good mates Warwick Gray and Victor “Bubba” Martin as well as having Warwick’s wife "Lexie" doing the BVs. Collectively we’re known as “shamalama”, the latest band to hit Queensland.
